The enthusiasm for Padel continues to grow

Padel in Spain Breaks Records: Over 107,000 Registered Players in 2024

As of October 22, 2024, the Spanish Padel Federation (FEP) has reached an exciting milestone: more than 107,000 players are now officially registered. To be exact, the federation counts 107,645 licenses, surpassing the previous record of 101,236 at the end of 2023.

This remarkable growth highlights how popular padel has become in Spain, attracting players of all ages and skill levels. Thanks to promotional campaigns, events, and increasing visibility, the sport has seen a steady annual growth rate of around 6% over the past two years.

Catalonia Leads the Way

Among regional federations, Catalonia remains in the lead, setting its own record and reinforcing its position as a stronghold of the sport in Spain.

More Clubs, More Community

With more players comes the need for more clubs and facilities, and that’s exactly what’s happening. The expansion of infrastructure is encouraging more people to join the sport and is helping to build a vibrant padel community across the country.

Since the FEP began recording data in 2012 (when there were 39,652 licenses), the number of registered players has grown by more than 170%. By 2020, the total had already reached 75,548.

Even after 25 years, the enthusiasm for Padel continues to increase and enjoys spectacular growing rates.
