The future of tennis clubs

Membership figures in tennis clubs in Germany are improving and we would like to do our bit to ensure that this trend is maintained.

Padel is helping clubs to increase their membership. There are fewer tennis courts in use, as some have been replaced by padel. The trend is positive.

It should also be noted that the“breakdown of membership figures” is particularly lacking in members between the ages of 15 and 40 (only 28% of all members).
55% of all members are over 40 years old, with 26% already over 60 years old. The figure is 1% for the very youngest children under 6 and 18% for juniors between 7 and 14. On the left is a small graphic as an overview of all age groups.

The fact is that the clubs urgently need more members.
In this context, padel – as a related sport to tennis – can do a lot to help things get back on track.
The 20 years of development in Spain have shown that padel as a complementary sport has supported many tennis clubs and tennis clubs and ensured their continued existence.

Use the potential of padel to your advantage for your club. In southern Europe, 2.5 million people already play padel on around 12,000 courts. For young and old, promotes rejuvenation among your members, attracts new members and achieves better customer retention rates.

The success factors that speak for padel are:
1. it is very easy to play
2. Is inexpensive (4 people per game)
3. Very high fun factor
4. Not very physically demanding
5. Promotes social relationships
6. Padel for young and old
Tackle it, because the tendency of tennis clubs is anything but satisfactory, and the addition of padel is a very interesting story that can have a very positive influence on club life. Necessity is the mother of invention, right?
